It is part of Pontiacs 235 range of cars. Here are a couple vids of the car after I got it running on Monday. This car has a 2 door convertible/cabriolet body style with a front mounted engine that delivers power to the rear wheels. I am reading I would need to modify the frame to really tub the thing.Īny suggestions you guys have would be very helpful!!! But I need to figure out the biggest tire I can get under this thing for now.

Problem I am having now is I have ZERO traction!! I have brand new shocks and springs, and new upper lower control arms for the front and rear that I am going to install. The Pontiac V8 400ci engine in the car is bored. Practically everything under the hood is brand new and covered by a 3-yr./ 36,000 mile warranty. Took a little longer than I thought but its running and doing so VERY strong (450hp or so). This is a 1967 Pontiac Tempest Custom 4-door hardtop.

That V8 should be producing 250hp, but the transmission hurts the vehicle’s overall performance. The car also comes equipped with a 2-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes. Instead of putting a bunch of money in the 400 I decided to put an LS1 (with a bunch of N/A mods) in there with a TH400 behind it. Pontiac offered several engine options in the 1967 Tempest, and this one features the 326ci V8. 60X Sagging Headliner Roof lining Ceiling Kit FIX Repair Buckle Pins rivet snap (Fits: 1963 Pontiac Tempest) 12.99. About 3 weeks later the motor went kaboom. Thickened Jack Pads Rubber Pad Adapter Car Truck Cross Slotted Frame Rail Floor (Fits: 1963 Pontiac Tempest) 12.99. The 400 had a bottom end knock and I knew it was living on borrowed time. I picked up a clean 1967 Tempest dirt cheap from a guy on craigslist and it originally came with a Pontiac 400 and a TH350 (with no reverse).

This is my first post on this forum, I have been on here quite a bit during my project getting info and thought it was a good point to introduce myself and share my project (so far) with you all.
